The E36 is nice and light and has a large display. This can be read very well and whom the default is still too small, which can enable jumbo numbers setting in the submenu - then it's safe even without glasses.
The keyboard is also designed with large buttons and you have no reason to look so closely to select a number.
I did not really expect that the E36 complete with all the functions of the old base station S100 can sign up, but I was pleasantly surprised:
After you go "sign" on the menu of the handset, enter the base PIN and presses the button on the base, the E36 logs on properly and is serving. As well as the Caller ID for incoming calls and the phone book can be transferred from other handsets. The pity is that can enter only 100 numbers, but something you know in advance.
Noted yet is that when operated on the basis of the S100 E36 from any Intercom calls can be conducted because the menu required for this is lacking. However, this handset will be called by another at the base internally registered handsets. In short, intercom calls from the E36 -> other internal parties is not working / other internal participants -> E36 works.
The sound quality is very good.
All in all, the E36 quite recommendable, because it offers all the features that should have a telephone. It has no frills, the menu is clear and you know immediately intuitive what button you have to press to get to the goal.
Well done Siemens!
