I had fears, instead of being a mixed review on mode (of) pilgrimage (s) Saint-Jacques de Compostela that this book relates (a "Pele", as wrongly say good complexion cathos). But I found this funny story alive, removed a writing, and in good French, which is not so common. Humor is live but often tender, sometimes raw, often somewhat caustic. I especially liked the portraits of various walking companions (especially a donkey and his "master") of the cape, which reveals itself actually quite a few, so much that I did not understand whether she was a believer or not! We learn a lot about the lives of the pilgrims of Saint-Jacques, including on things you generally do not speak (pain, foot odor in shelters, some of the motivations, food ...). In short, it made me want to make the pilgrimage. A small downside, however, the third pilgrimage, which occupies much of the book is less eye-catching, more diluted and a little less funny. But this book is really nice, I see no other word. It is also a tribute to the simplicity and slow (better than Kundera in my opinion).
