I love this book layout: the models are photographed in a very refined way while being highlighted. No children photographed, they are drawn in pencil below the photo to give a lovely presentation. The text is written legibly and airy way. As against the explanatory diagrams are not very detailed, which can be confusing when you start like me and you get used to follow step by step schematic explanations. The explanations are all there, but enough succinct air which may pose difficulties for me as a complete novice (I started sewing there 2 months).
The models are rated by difficulty level (there are 3), ranging from "easy" to "difficult". The author gives little "tricks" well nice for nice finishes or decline a model in another way. She also learns to sew his own fabric buttons, which give him very nice and original. Some models are quite basic, but they have the touch that makes them attractive and unique all suite. Each model is specified what type of fabric you can use. Those chosen by the author are superb.
The explanations are clear enough in terms of sewing. I have yet tested the ankle-booties, very easy to make, despite the 2 star difficulty. I have not yet tried to sew a garment if I ever encounter a difficulty with the bosses I will post.
What a pity that this book is only for toddlers up to 3 years! I love this book and I do not regret my purchase. My man, either because he has cracked as much as I on the models (especially the buttons gig). I can now spoil the children around me, waiting to spoil perhaps mine one day!
Edit of 11/19/2013: I realized several models of this book (skirt, pants, bathrobe ...) and I have not encountered any difficulties. Even for a beginner it is accessible. The rendering is superb, and several people to whom I offered the achievements worshiped and did not see that it was handmade! The bosses are fair, I note only that you generally need a longer elastic than what is provided in the book (I had to redo 2 times).
