A series full gaiety and warmth

This sequence is characterized primarily by its characters, namely, that one would normally might call "supporting roles". There are the residents of the small village, which lies on the railway line on the Benjamin and Otto with the hijacked locomotive traveling. In particular, Ms. Meier is and sounds so kind-hearted and you her immediately takes joy from that the locomotive just passes on her birthday and she later even brings to her sister. But the men from the village of Mr. Miller and Mr. Schnubbel have such sympathetic Opa-voices that you close it immediately to the heart. When they all sit in the car and sing happy, then that's easy to listen only nice because you feel right with.
Next, I think that the theme appeals to all ages, steam engines. For the youngsters these huge machines are easy thrilling, the elders have played even earlier with the railways and are therefore fascinated.
One can be quite -Otto also learn gratitude from this episode about steam engines, but Benjamin interrupts Otto presentation fairly quickly. I find that particularly sympathetic that he says eventually, "You know, Otto, you're pretty smart But the main thing, the locomotive, as, I do not care as long as she makes only schnuffschnuffschnuff...!" Oh, that's nice, how could this be forgotten only result from 100? Such a damper would Stella certainly not hurt.
Last one has to mention that even Karla Kolumna and the mayor are on the pitch, which provide with their squabbles in a good mood. Since there is a lot to laugh.

Just so highly praised, now they are to be mentioned by name, the people of the village between Neustadt and Gluckstadt. The cheerful and lovable woman Meier (who apparently lives in the old railway station) is spoken by Maria Krasna. And it sounds just as one imagines a love grandma. By the way she talked resulted in 18 of the Bibi-series the Ancient Witch Mania, barely recognizable.
For Paul (?) Paul Schmidt and Erich Will aka Mr. Miller and Mr. Schnubbel the same applies, even speaking their roles very sympathetic.
The Lord Mayor is spoken in this episode yet of Tobias Pagel and every time I hear him in this role, I have a suspicion why later Heinz Giese took over this role. For Tobias Pagel just sounds too nice. I can not imagine his voice in how they down dressing eg Pichler.
And a highlight for our Gabriel Burns - fans who often so feel so exalted above the Kinderkram Benjamin the Elephant. In this episode you can Bianca Krahl, the tough Joyce Kramer hear as little five-year, petulant child!

As I sat only a few days at a train station and a steam locomotive was passing, I can say that the snarf snarf-the steam engine in the radio play sounds very real.
Other effects are the siren of the police car, the mooing of a cow, it should also have been already. But as almost always, which disrupts almost not at all in this series.

There are in development cover a surprise, of which I myself did not know anything and I was mighty amaze. For all other Benjamin sequences that I have discussed here, there was between the third edition and the current design (with Benjamin on the lettering) little variation in motif. But in this episode, the image has been changed really with every change in the design.
Overall, I find it unfortunate that everywhere only Benjamin and Otto and more than a policeman and Karla are seen by the villagers but no. It would have been a great theme: the locomotive, with Benjamin and Otto as she stands in the small station and the cheerful people on the platform, perhaps with the birthday cake.

Conclusion: Benjamin as an engine driver is a result for all ages. She exudes such joy and warmth that you have to let them easily.
