++ Very high brightness, brighter than normal LED Mag-Lites in any size. For comparison corresponds to its brightness about a 4 watt LED bulb (for 230V Lammpen). This has about 250 lumens and is equivalent to a light bulb with 25 Watt.
+ Rate Mag-Lite flashlight quality, robust housing, all threads rotate well, the flashlight is reliable.
+ Two brightness levels. For normal applications it has a lower brightness level. In practice, I find myself always use the full brightness.
o battery consumption. At full brightness is a battery in 2.5 hours sucked empty (good alkaline) battery (manufacturer information). In practice, I expect a little shorter maturities, as batteries emit less power when they are discharged quickly. It is strongly depend on whether the lamp permanently (then the shorter term) or is switched on only from time to time (then the term is longer).
- According to the manufacturer no batteries must be screw cap. It works, but you risk the destruction of the light source.
- There is no integrated spare bulb in the lamp, as it used to be common in light bulbs.
- There is no substitute to buy LEDs. If the LED is broken, you can throw away all the flashlight.
Great flashlight, ultra-light and small, and for continuous operation with darker light. Certainly for anyone well suited for easy use at home but there are also simpler flashlights full rich. Here more people should access that night are great outdoors with a flashlight.
Most bothers me that you speak carries the battery at your own Riskio. But with the power consumption I conclude from the continuous operation with batteries.
My tip: when newly charged battery first turn for a few minutes on dark light. Batteries have directly after loading easily 1.5V and can thereby significantly more power (and thus watts) supply than normal batteries. That is the biggest risk is that you can overheat the LED with freshly charged battery and destroys it. Through the battery power consumption is very fast down to the normal 1.2V and thus - as I hope - there should be no risk for the LED's.
