What to remember:
Strengths:
- Very quiet disk
- Does not heat although there is no fan
- The disc will alone standby after a while (a few dozen minutes) if it is not used. Advantage: can stay plugged in and switched permanently to a DSL box can while consuming electricity.
- Provide with backup software (the files are on the hard disk) handy (provide encrypted backups).
- Small plastic feet allow that it is flat or standing.
- Really not much larger than a 3.5-inch disk.
Negative points:
- The power supply is separate and relatively large.
