I've talked before my tripod purchase with a colleague intensive. He has a Manfrotto 055XPROB with the 496er capita (also Manfrotto), which I was allowed to borrow even me. The stand was very good, nice and high and very stable. But the heavy weight has yet really bother me.
Therefore, I have now resorted to 190XPROB, together with the tripod head 496RC, because I really liked this. I briefly describe my impressions.
Good / Like:
- Lighter than my old Hama Tripod (! This goal I wanted to achieve unconditional), with just under 2KG head
- Much more stable than my old Hama Tripod (also a knock-out criterion, because otherwise I would not buy me a new need)
- Beautiful spring collars are easy to handle
- But stable not too thick tubes (you can wear nice closed in one hand, thanks ...)
- ... The rubberized / coated pipes (2 of 3 are equipped with foam)
- The possibility of a good tripod head (this evaluates everything again on)
What is the highlight for me: the fold-down center column and spreadable legs. This may then not be 100% wobble-free, but for macro shots this is a dream! It comes down to perceived 5cm, really good !!
There is nothing negative about this stand, I can think of now. Due to the high quality and the many ways I take today more often the tripod than I would have ever made it to the old "Hama-cucumber". The purchase was worth it!
