It's my only point is that "everyday life" and the handling of the One X to describe.
My "smartphone history": in front of the One X, I had the Wildfire and then the WF S, both made by HTC.

Even looking at the outer packaging signals subliminally that this smartphone is unlike any experienced before. This "egg carton packaging 'is namely so MMN not been there at HTC, which only reinforces the impression. Even when the smartphone betrachet for the first time - "I'm the one you've been waiting for" is on the slide.

The processing and the exterior of the One X is considered valuable and elegant that the device is made of plastic, the overall picture becomes cloudy by no means; everything looks consistent and in accordance with the price. The One X looks "grown up", without unnecessary optical Schnikschnack precisely why so perfect in form and quality.
Haptic the One X is a treat, the combination of the matte back and glossy frame feels quality (it is still my favorite word) to), via the display you glide beautifully "buttery", touching the Gorilla Glass feels much more pleasant and "expensive" to, as my old smartphones.

Despite its size, the One X fits easily in the way even as tight women pants pocket. Through the thin and elongated design is not bulky, does not press uncomfortable and also does not rotate continuously in the pocket, which struck me as terribly annoying for smaller smartphones.

I have a wife very small hands and yet I manage the One X easy to operate with one hand. Sometimes you have indeed a bit "embrace" the rotation has but out very quickly.
By "rubber" back there is also virtually no risk that the One X could one go smoothly from the hand.

The size I think, despite initial concerns, now optimally and could not imagine after 2 hours as I ever got along with a midget like the Wildfire S. If you've worked with the One X and then takes a look at a WF S or similar smartphone, it seems like a cute toy cell phone from;)

The screen ... Well, this I can except "fabulous" not say much.
The display is really awesome and the best thing I could hold "Smartphone technology" so far in his hand and see. It works incredibly sharp and colorful, the already above-mentioned "butteriness" the Gorilla glass does the rest.
Surfing, pictures Survey, read - really everything - due to its display, a feast for the eyes and a real experience. The brightness is also more than ok (definitely more than too bright to dark, does at maximum level in almost hurt your eyes); excessive levels or illegible in direct sunlight I could not watch.

Android 4.0 and Sense 4.0 (or after the update in December'12 4.1), coupled with the speed of the One X, contribute significantly to the fact that you, the One X does not like to put it down. This does not change even after almost a year with the X.

HTC Sense is, inter alia, one of the unbeatable advantages that bring me back again and again to HTC. This surface is IMHO with the best, most practical and most mature of all, I was able to test so far.
It is very intuitive to use and has many gimmicks that I would just miss pei pure Android and Samsung's TouchWiz - of the "round", not to mention elegant appearance.
To me it has always been extremely important to be able to personalize my phone on every imaginable way. This request could me so far only the HTC smart phones (not least thanks to Sense) fulfill satisfactorily. Who personalization is just as important, will soon notice that HTC / Android is unbeaten in, "Personalization technically" to give the end user all the freedom you could possibly imagine. From themes to all Sense skins (different color Gammen etc) everything is possible. I want it, at least not to miss. +++ [UPDATE, scroll down!] +++

Unfortunately, the One X is already at moderate "effort" rather hot and overheated, about 49-59 degrees it reached me, when it loads and at the same time I incidentally play demanding games or similar "strenuous" Apps execute them.
On my part, however, demand a specialized technician told me that the battery and the inner workings of smartphones against such overheating and subsequent damage was protected by the manufacturer and starts, before too high a temperature could cause permanent damage. The nightlife is so far never happened with me.

The reception I previously had no problems making calls (you can hear his opponent clearly, and also even you will be very well understood) works fine.
By tapping on the touch screen, there are also no difficulties, there will be no hangers, the touchscreen responds promptly and writing runs smoothly. With SMS it is similar to any undesired transmission delays

The camera of the One X is in my eyes a real highlight! Although I previously always thought no cell phone makes better pictures than my former Sony Ericsson K800i, so now I have my opinion changed- the One X surpasses the quality even more.
All the features and gimmicks are really awesome (I'm just saying HDR or panoramic!)
Unique feature is the ability to simultaneously filming and taking pictures. I count it the One X by the way very very high that the trip time takes no annoying 1-2 seconds, but you have caught the desired photo immediately. This is incredibly useful, especially in bustling dwarf hamsters as pets;)
The images that upfront, are of high quality (our main digicam makes worse photos) and fraying or pixelation so far I could make only fixed in very bad, artificial light; the colors are reproduced as far as possible realistically and despite a lack of autofocus images are extremely rare blurred. The same is true for video recordings, they have an excellent quality and no stuttering oa The "Blitz" makes excellent his cause.
The front camera is logically worse than the main camera, but it is sufficient for video telephony and occasional make-up inspections of all. For self-portraits, it is very well suited: interesting is the fact that the images in the gallery behind much look better than when shooting (!).

The music player is good and can look at or be heard. Thanks to the HTC music player my mp3 player is already long retired :)
The supplied headphones are sonically also totally fine. Toll I find the headphones also, that the cables are no longer round, but flat. This headphones knot less not to what I can so far fully confirm. Since HTC has once thought along, Kudos for that!

For battery life ... now that I like my One X and extensively use, it must be every day with me to the outlet- what a day for me but absolutely not bad.
When I lie in bed and fall asleep, I am told on good German pretty damn whether the smartphone is charging or just lying around so.
It is not a negative thing for me, after all I really ask for the baby during the day a lot from. And for these daily "rigors" keeps seeking the battery correctly Wacker. . (In the morning at 8 clock-full charge, at least 4 hours of music listening, mobile network at least 4 hours, WLAN on, surf the Internet, watch videos possibly, various apps constantly open and close;. Now I would like to say something about the most discussed negative aspects of the One X:
-the non-replaceable battery and
-the non-existent micro SD slot.
These two points have initially worried or irritated me too.

On point 1: Although was in any mobile phone / smartphone, which I ever had, the battery broke, but I did not want to leave me take the chance mitzutragen a second battery to replace the empty so if necessary.
This problem I have with an external battery more than well resolved (eg. The Power of Bank EasyAcc), I always carry it around with me, just for the feared disaster. This solution I think now even more convenient than lugging a spare battery.

Point 2, the non-existent memory card slot: has personally turns me also as groundless fear, since about 28 GB plus 25 GB Dropbox for "memory hogs" like photos and videos ranging from all; even for a like me who to "fun files" (music, videos, images, audio books) has more than 20 GB. All this is on the One X on it (the copy of the old SD card went the way without a hitch!), Plus about 220 apps, along with the entire cache and other files.
I have almost 2 GB space on your smartphone and Download already eternally nothing more memory Eroding if you understand what I want to express it.

For me this wonderful smartphone is an essential companion in everyday life. Whether I'm unitechnisch or pleasure.
I would like the One X does not want to miss and give it no longer as quickly ago.
It has never let me down and replaced loyal and reliable my schedule, scheduler, schedule, PillReminder, book, notepads, Cam, MP3 player, alarm clock, image editing program ... and so on.
All the things that have previously "littered" only my purse, I sort in a concentrated form in my Hosentasche- to just 134.36 mm x 69.9 mm x 8.9 mm.

For my part, I can draw the conclusion that this is really one of the best smartphone that I've ever held in my hand.
I think the One X is worth every penny.

Slightly more than a year I had the One X and would like to write an update on a few points. The rest of my opinion has not changed:

1).
I wrote '12 that Sense is the best thing about stock Launchers, there is.
My opinion in this respect has changed - TouchWiz has IMHO caught powerful and scores some with more gimmicks that make life easier (shortcut toggles, Smart Stay, Smart Screen rotation ...). The Sense features that I liked so, TouchWiz may also (silence when turning, personalization options). Thus Sense was toppled from the throne for me - it is in my view no non-plus-ultra-feature more. On the contrary, starting with version 4+ Sense is "slimmed down", the hub with the additional themes has disappeared. Opponents of the "colorful" Sense will be pleased, my taste it is not true. As I said, everything is purely subjective!

2).
Actually, I thought when buying the One X that both critique points (permanently installed battery, no expandable memory) would not mind ... um's a long story short: they do, and how!

32GB - for me - just too short. Point;) Unfortunately, the 25GB Dropbox storage are great only in theory, or for people who have a very good flat rate with high-speed internet or Wi-Fi constantly. Although store photos / video / music in the cloud works as "Storage" properly without good internet connection it uses a not a lot if you want to access them. I have a flat in the E-Plus network and may not work seamlessly access media files in the Dropbox even with unrestricted speed.

The battery is a very different Geschcihte: he lost after about 6 months full capacity (held at the end even in stand-by up to 6-8 hours, which is very annoying) and I stood with the problem because that I Smartphone could not send it (not a replacement smartphone) wanted. This procedure is simply annoying, time-consuming and ... affable, considering that it theoretically can be done differently. I do not rule out that the short term related to the heat problem ...
... Which was getting worse. In the beginning (originated as this review) overheated the One X until graphically demanding games; Six months later, this happened desöfteren already hear the simultaneous music and what Appen. Shows or YouTube videos. Or surfing on mobile websites. A No Go for a high-end smartphone, though in 2013 no longer the latest.

I have formed after a year with the One X my opinion: for me are those "locked" smart phones no longer in question, at least as long as I have an alternative.
The One X remains nevertheless a solid smartphone, especially for the acutely Ellen price you can not go wrong. However, I would like to address at the slightest hint of heat problems or low battery capacity at HTC.
