A sublime love song to his native Britain

Breton (CD)

Customer Review

This is an entirely centered on Brittany album, culture and language, and to Celtic countries more generally, that Nolwenn Leroy gives us this time.

And there are these great titles that are "Tri Martolod", "Next Sudarmoricaine", "La Mare Michao", the first two sung in Breton as it should. Other titles in Breton I did not know and which prove very interesting. We must also add a "Greensleeves" moving, sublime "Mna na H-Eireann" (women of Ireland) Irish. And yet "The bagad Lann-Bihoue," a "in the prisons of Nantes" irresistible, "Get in Britain" difficult not include any ...

A word about the interpretations of great standards, I find it very personal. Whether such "The Mare Michao" or the "Suite Sudarmoricaine" interpreting Nolwenn is unlike any of the versions I already knew and Nolwenn impresses his style.

And then there is also "I'll never be your Parisian" remarkable composition and beautiful gift made by that other Finistérien what Miossec. Nolwenn and also performs her "Brest".

The voice of Nolwenn enchants us on each of these titles, she is surrounded by more musicians of English, Scottish and Irish and Jon Kelly, producer including Paul McCartney, Tori Amos and Kate Bush. No wonder then that the musical quality is so much waiting for you.

Adding that everyone probably already knows that the young Breton in album cover is none other than Nolwenn itself.

Yes Nolwenn with this new album, the Brittany, the Finistère, really surprised us. Very pleasantly. I predict this album a great success.
