Volume 1 Darcy gentleman ends with the first pages of Volume 2 in preview, translated by Claire Allouch, which take place on the first Sunday of Advent. Gold Volume 2, translated by Wanda Morella, start with the departure to Rosings Darcy and his cousin Colonel Fitzwilliam. So it seems that the French translation done overlook Volume 2 English ("Duty and Desire") which is a pastiche of the Gothic novel, if I believe summaries and reviews that I have read. Volume 2 French (which is the beginning of Volume 3 English) and corresponds exactly to Volume 2 of the Jane Austen novel but with a "hole" 3 months in the life of Darcy and allusions that we do not always understand. That said, see Elizabeth at Lady Catherine's perspective Darcy, and how he became entangled in the misunderstanding and contradictions is very gratifying! The scene in the pub where Brougham manages to make him confess what happened to Hunsford ("Only you, my friend, who dare ask for her hand to a girl whispering to him that in the Overall, it is not worthy of your rank! ") is a ferocious humor, and characters of Georgiana and Brougham acquire the thickness. Although the style of the translation seems to me that in the released volume 1, this second album is read with pleasure.
