I already loved "The Ax" by Donald Westlake. On the same theme (quinqua a ready framework for everything to find a sticky job to profile) Pierre Lemaître made even better! The descent into hell of his character is truly terrifying. We are no longer in pure thriller (where Lemaître excels with the 4 books in the trilogy Verhoeven) but in a psychological drama with the backdrop of the horrific practices of management by stress. More than cleaner, healthy! Would recommend without any moderation.
