An incredible power (partly due to the near absence of keyboards) coupled with an incandescent virtuosity, the alliance of gravity and grace. As usual, Miles sidemen transcend themselves in contact, playing as they will never play solo (especially Mike Stern and Marcus Miller, in a trance) ... as Cinelu and Foster. One almost !! forget the brass (+ Miles Evans) so the rhythm section is monstrous. In short it rocks violently, it tears, it shudders and wobbles in the many moments of ecstasy. And yet, it is only a recording ... Imagine with envy the audience that was present on those evenings.
