The book is eingteilt in small chapters. However, the first five chapters are the chapters 1,2,3,4,5 etc. but the chapter 2,3,5,7,11 - because Christopher likes primes. It's those details that make the book not only interesting but highly original and very amusing parts. However, one should not believe that it is a purely funny book. The ideas are Christophers namely to digest not only amusing or easily. So reveals the boy that it is one of his most beautiful dreams, to imagine that all the people in the world died except him would be (incl. Its Elern). Then no one would ask him something and it would not be all full of people - because Christopher hates crowds. His autistic Bedinger and often shocking unconditional egoism is as distinctive element as his remarks on mathematical problems and on pure facts based conclusions.
Ironically enough, the book, which is written from the perspective of a boy who is not able to perceive emotions is emotional in the highest degree. It amused, informed and shocked the readers alike.
After 221 pages refers to the world of an autistic boy. One can understand how he thinks, how he feels. And a higher compliment you can not give Haddon. This book reminds impressively in mind that life can not be described by the accumulation of facts.
Thoroughly recommended.
