Note that I do not question the author's knowledge of autism and is a developmental disorder that often remains unknown or misunderstood by the majority of us unfortunately. Personally I know that this disorder that I could read in the media so my knowledge on this subject is limited. Addressing autism through a book written by a professional or through a witness would certainly have interested me, but this narrative bothered me for several reasons.
This book is a novel and a novel I expect a minimum of quality writing, it is certainly an autistic boy who tells the story but I always had the feeling that the author was a pretext for write a scrap book, hurry.
The "So I took ... So I thought ... So I ...", the "Cause" and their combinations "Because then ..", the "For why ... It's like ... ", all these turns of heavy and repetitive phrases in every paragraph makes painful reading this novel.
The details of the described Christopher course, reflect the way he perceives his surroundings but over time it's exhausting.
The drawings that punctuate the speech are friendly but without interest, except further lengthen the number of pages.
The story on it is banal and hollow.
The dialogues are in basic school and form, and again this is a tedious platitude: I
In short, I have not seen a great interest in reading this novel if not push the reader to deepen about autism through more books "serious".
This is not because we approach the subject of autism it is a good book, this one deserves a prize.
Yes this theme is important but not this book does not hit me, I was on the verge of closing before the end and only the fact that I hate not finishing a book inspired me to continue my reading.
It is always difficult wrong note a book that deals with a serious subject because it seems that this negative review will be judged as a denigration of the subject but I frankly find that heavy reading, boring, painful.
