After a play while but inevitably one wonders why this is so. Now Destiny is by no means a bad game, so far I would not go. Especially in multiplayer with friends makes the game quite a lot of fun and you can tell that the developers were off, who already created one of the greatest console multiplayer shooter experiences ever with Halo. The feeling, gunplay etc. is just round and harmonious, sometimes somewhat reminiscent of Borderlands, or even Diablo, as regards the Grind factor.
But there is also almost the end with the positive aspects. The level in the main game fall out relatively small, even in the first 4 story missions you have to visit multiple sites. The free exploring the area, called patrol is also possible - in the same areas that have been previously visited for the Missions. This patrol but unfortunately under the sterile, almost lifeless world. Plants that sway in the wind, destructible environments or objects, NPCs or randomly running around animals in vain. So you walk half then motivated by known areas until you meet randomly at enemies or wildly jumping other players. With zweiteren you can virtually do not interact (PvP is only possible in own fields), communication is limited to invite into his own Fireteam or unasked join other Fire teams and four different gestures.
This communication poverty course also affects the MMO-Share (the not really want to be quite a), one runs by traders to the spaceport without really interacting with the numerous other players. So this whole area seems actually placed and unnecessary. I had partially the impression that the game time is only stretched.
The "RPG moderate" character development is rather slight present to little, only with a high level you really a little influence on the development, in advance of each next evolutionary step is specified.
Since we are just "little present" at - that could be said about the story. While the intro builds quite looking forward to an epic story on, but it sorely on stylized dialogue passages thereafter remains not much left except particularly. The story missions are no exception - in addition to "find the subject XY" consist mostly quite short missions mostly from fending off enemy waves or do a more or (usually) little demanding boss opponent. Variety is none here.
Apparently even in summer, the AI of opponents who neither rudimentary attempt to flank or perform any strategic maneuvers, yet the player is follow if he hides behind a crate that is only one meter outside the specified operating range of opponents. This ensures that mans I tucked almost next door to the opponents and waits until the Autoheal becomes active to do it afterwards.
Last - the graphics are good, but up to the high resolution too sterile, too little detail and abwechslungsarm to go as NextGen Experience by. The main difference seems to LastGen really in the resolution or sharpness of the image are related to. As would have been possible. Music / Sound there I think also - but this I can not really say which is namely so inconsequential that I have little forgotten him more or when you turn off the console.
Personal conclusion:
Destiny will be a lot - Multiplayer Action Game with epic story and world, with MMO aspects, RPG-like character development and all that unfortunately it failed in all respects except for the multiplayer action game here miserably.. In addition, everything feels subjectively unfinished. I feel like I'm playing an Alpha, when all contents touched a little, but nothing has really programmed to end. Two DLCs for each 20 have already announced - probably come here more updates that make the world more interesting and complete the game. Unfortunately, not without paying extra for it. That would be acceptable to a free to play-based game, but not for a full-price title. Only the fun multiplayer with friends ensures that I do not feel completely ripped off - but I see here there be no long-term motivation.
ADDENDUM:
I've noticed that those to be found in the game Grimoire-Dinger probably include a certain part of the story. This can then be read on the website when you log in. These times as much - what the hell, we have the 2014! At the first Wasteland (? Not sure) it was so I think that part of the story was in the instructions, because no more space on the disks was. But in 2014 a part of the story to tell outside of the game on a site, for I lack any understanding.
In addition, I have come across while reading of a review on the tip that not only regenerates the health of inactivity, but the ghost after a while also automatically populates the ammunition again - I wish I had not read that. That coupled with the non-tracked and even forgettable AI opponents makes most battles then probably a pure Gedultsspiel.
ADDENDUM 2 (17/09/2014):
Although ego could not play even lack of currently available players -. The raids appear to be a completely different game than the rest of what I have seen today on Twitch me almost bowled ... will test in time, but if the play so looks like it would be for this part of the game a clear appreciation ... Too bad that you look for it has to work himself through the singleplayer / Missionskram.
