La Petite Mort (Paperback)

Customer Review

Believe it or not, but the little death was the first comic that I discovered. Indeed this kind of book I've always been a little scared, I thought it was not for me, especially for pleasure too short to read. It is thanks to Dad Christmas that I discovered this little gem.

This comic tells the story of the son of the Grim Reaper, who dreams of being florist, but must learn the trade from his father to succeed him. I completely adhered to the madness and imagination of the author plays down death within a very strange but endearing family. The humor is omnipresent through the pages, including for small "bonus" as The Adventures of Buzz Aldrin I loved.
The little death really touched me, since the following through a life "almost" normal child who learns to grow, to make choices, but must face its little idiosyncrasies.
I may be less appreciated the illustrations, but it is only a matter of taste, since they are fully consistent with the history, very well worked, and I was not expecting more.
The second volume has already joined my PAL, and I look forward to discovering a third volume. Maybe is this the beginning of a love affair with comics? ^
Small bonus for the layout and very neat cover.
