I think if you practice MMA club (about 180 clubs in France) for over a year, this book you will not be required. Nevertheless it may be useful for culture and pedagogy that does not necessarily found in all clubs. Especially if there are many people in the room.
However, if you practice boxing or Muay Thai or BJJ and grappling or nothing this unassuming book will help you to approach the different aspects of the fight. Indeed it is really detailed when the applied techniques because are addressed custody and movement, percussion techniques, takedowns (takedown) and projections, the ground work and combos percussion, projections and against attacks. The very detailed different situations with clear text and photos very readable. Also presented arbitration, the rules and spirit.
Personally I am very satisfied with the quality of this book. I last ten years the book Free-Fight Ken Shamrock (Budo editions) for which Part 2 "learning in action" is frankly not terrible. Part 1 of the life and childhood Ken Shamrock worth the glance out against.
The teaching staff of the fundamentals of MMA did a good job because it is very easy to feel impregnated by the situation / described position. Bravo, I recommend it sincerely.
