It is small, but well done and accurate. I prefer this shape to ones seen more generally as small but ultra flat or rectangular or round. I have used a rectangular and round. When laying on a too large object is unable to read the weight on the small window because hidden by the object in question. With the small Soehnle no problem thanks to its elevated form and its transparent glass plate can be read easily. And it is actually accurate to the gram, which is not always the case despite the performances. Finally I find elegant, pretty and I'm delighted with my purchase.
