Interestingly, when looking at the writer Jane Austen, understanding how has built its reputation in the various countries of continental Europe through translations, not always correct, his works and after 1990 through adaptations, not more followers. Each chapter is provided by a specialist Jane Austen in her country. For France, there even has three chapters, as this is the only country where all his works were translated (but distorted, stripped of their humor, turned into sentimental romances) very early, before 1822. We understand why she have pleased in Franco's Spain and what we liked home in the GDR; why it took the "glasnost" for it to be translated into Russian; why '' Emma 'is translated almost as often as "Pride and Prejudice" and "Mansfield Park" least translated. Then one reads (in English anyway when you can!) With another look!
