By opening a book by Franck Thilliez, I am almost certain not to be disappointed, although all his novels are not of equal value, which is normal: we hang more or less such a work or another, according to his tastes and his own sensibility ... The young police lieutenant Lucie Henebelle and Commissioner Franck Sharko together to go after a cleverly-crafted plot. Here it is human sight which carries the essential idea of this very dark and cruel plot (In "Miserere" JC Grangé is especially hearing that proves the support, but do not go astray. ..). On one side Lucie was the (very) long track of a film that makes a "friend" blind, on the other, the Commissioner Sharko ("Shark") is facing five corpses fled 2 meters underground and that missing the top half of the skull and teeth ... These two cases, seemingly unrelated, will bring the two investigators, and, far away in the darkness of the human soul or horror is never far away! An addictive story that I liked, although I had some favorite "Hell Train to Red Angel" and "The Forest of Shadows" ... RickN (Quaregnon - Belgium)
