If one only looks at the price of technically comparable tripods, you will certainly have doubts about the quality of the AmazonBasics tripod, because you will not find anything under 180 euros incl. Ball head. In fact, the qualitative differences are only in small details such as better screw handles etc .. In the price such a thing, however, is negligible.
1. The legs have only two snap angle, which is a shame, since 1 to 2 more would have gone almost to the detriment of production or price.
2. The Lead In / Out of the legs, as well as the shifting of the center column is something hakelig.
3. In order to dampen the friction on the ball head, there is no adjustment or the like.
4. When tightening the panorama plate as it rotates by about 0.5 to 1 degree.
5. The screw on the quick release plate is a disgrace and the rest of the stand is not appropriate.
For the five points above, I prefer from a star. I must at this point but say again that I here with others. technically similar tripods compare whose price is at least 4 times as high, and that some of the same or similar weaknesses have like this stand!
Feel, appearance and processing: Very valuable and unbeatable at this price!
Conclusion: at this price you will find in no way a better stand, not even close. Amateur photographers and ambitious amateurs should not hesitate even if it then only as a second or third-tripod would be used here with the acquisition.
