Above average well done!

After reading from the cheap quality of similar products, I hereby tried it and was not disappointed. You can tell that the manufacturer has made an effort and not just trying to sell just a gimmick (which should be expected at the price, of course, but it is not). I use the viewfinder at the Sigma DP1 Merrill and DP3, fits perfectly!

Unlike other products with more or less improvised mounting convinced me here the solid assembly by tripod mount (only complaint: a tool-openable fastening screw would have been even better, but you can securely exchange). The product is indeed made of plastic, but processed comparatively high for my taste. The criticized by other reviewers sluggishness of Dioptrieausgleichs I look rather than an advantage. The also criticized unsuitability for small cameras, in which the display is located very far down the camera body would be certainly able to resolve through a washer as a "spacer" with little effort.

The "LCD viewfinder" feels something like an electronic viewfinder on (of course not as well resolved as current models, depending on the LCD of the camera). The optical properties of the magnifying glass is good, that I was not disturbed at the picture. The eyecup is measured generously, sitting very comfortable. Overall, one should keep in mind that compact cameras clearly confusion inside with the essay on "depth". I use the search therefore only when I really need it, namely if very bright ambient light is predictable and the camera has no built-in viewfinder. The weight is about 250g, the tripod adapter is made of solid metal.
