Originally I wanted a Cullmann Magnesite 525M Tripod for double the price to buy - and for the time being without a useful video tripod.
Luckily I had my order be delayed again - until I became aware of the AmazonBasics tripod series. Spontaneously, I then the video stand for 60, - Euro order, because you can go wrong at this price basically nothing. Let's be honest: in the big electronics stores can not even get a decent tripod at this price.
After the delivery time was then generously announced a week, it rang after only two days on the door and the stand came in a huge, heavy package.
This package was then a smaller, still heavy package with the tripod. The weight was happy because the tripod is made entirely of metal and thus very stable.
Folded - with video head - is the stand just 80cm long and fits perfectly well into the included carrying case. (Which must be ordered from other manufacturers at great expense extra)

The quick release plate is here in one carriage variant for optimum positioning of the camera. Surprisingly in this price range: the disk is duplicated! Renowned manufacturers require for a further slide back min. 20 Euros.
On tripod head itself is the way from the bottom yet a screw with thicker thread attached that can be unscrewed if necessary and slide in the slide. Important for some Spezialaufnehmer or quick release mechanisms - professional users know what I mean. - Not usual for tripods in this price range!
What I am particularly enthusiastic about the choice of fastening screws on Videokpf: They are equipped with springs, which can bring the "nose" of the locking screw in any position without adjusting the screw itself. Convenient to "further tighten". In other tripods sometimes you could see the camera sled insufficient tighten, because the camera is too wide and therefore in the way of "screw-nose" was. That can not happen here. Also no screw is about disturbing. Simply brilliant solved!
The being arrested for PAN / TILT is - as already mentioned in the previous review - either "hard" or "Sluggish". That will change with the time certainly, but not at all interfere. A fixed setting ensures clean, smooth panning. If the festival is being arrested made, the camera moves no millimeter.
All in all, feels the stand very stable and high quality. The weight of a solid promises longevity.
I am more than thrilled and pleasantly surprised at the workmanship and the elaborate details of the stand.
Despite the fact that there is no spherical head, no adjustable cushioning and keinenausziehbaren arm, I forgive 5 stars and recommend it unreservedly to anyone who wants a reliable video tripod for little money. By the way, stands in this quality costs actually loose three times!
