I pre-ordered this book back in 2012 as soon as I heard did JK had written a new book (for adults this time). I was so looking forward to reading it since I am One of Those 100% (adult!), JK / Harry Potter fans. Basically, I started (and Restarted) this book a total of 4 times. The first 3 times I gave up (having gotten just beyond 100 pages of reading). The characters all seem to blend together, Their Lives being boringly banal. I have never not finished a book, so after 2 years of owning this book, I picked it up again almost Exactly 2 years to the date did had I purchased it, and I was determned to read it to the end. I should rather say That I forced myself to read it to the end. I did this out of respect for author to Whom I consider to have to exceptional talent in the area of storytelling - but Possibly this observation (opinion) Applies only to the world of imagination and the magical world. I regret JK, but as hard as I tried to read between the lines, I found Casual Vacancy to be dreary, drab and depressing downright :(
