Improvement results from my point of view at the following locations:
The chrome feet (chromed plastic) could tolerate a felt pad, if the bed should be placed on a hard floor.
The existing angles are to prepare the bed adequate, but do not run because of their small leg length to a high rigidity of the bedstead (unless a slatted frame is inserted, the foot end of the bed frame can be shifted somewhat, without the head travels with). For normal use, this should be sufficient but really.
What I would have used if it had been available I would have liked the bed frame combined with a wider and higher headboard. Perhaps this can come up with something the manufacturer here.
The above elements affect my enthusiasm in any way, especially as can be sometimes with quite minimal effort easily eliminate.
To Delivery:
The delivery was made by forwarding to the curb. I could move to create my bed in the apartment the driver without big words. For someone who is alone, this might otherwise be somewhat difficult. The forwarding (Kuehne & Nagel) offers this service, but it has to be ordered by the shipper. Here the sender might take the option in its offer with, so that one does not rely on the driver's benevolence when needed.
To my bed project (will void the warranty):
I have the bed frame from the outset ordered with the intention of equipping it with an electric slatted frame. As slatted I have the premium model of "slumber paradise" ordered (also a very good buy, so it should be mentioned here can cost about 250, -.).
For installation of the slatted frame I have omitted the two crossbars. From the hardware store I have two battens, screws (SPAX 60x80), and four rigid angle (eg for carports) with leg length of about 8cm concerned.
The battens I have a little cut, so that they are about 190cm long and placed on the carrier of the crossbars. At the points of the fittings for the crossbar support the battens got a little worked with the jigsaw, so that they are flush against the side panels. Then I drilled the battens in order to fasten with six screws on each side can. The angle I have installed in the corners fairly low. The conversion can also be for someone who has only basic craft skills, quite simply accomplish.
The bed frame was very stiff and strong through the angle. The electric slatted frame could be inserted problem and fits perfectly.
Overall, I spent on the bed (without mattress) about 520,00 and are for something that would have cost me more than a furniture store about 1600 to 1800.
