The following ideas I had: With scanner because my old scanner is not Vista compatible. Possible with fax, even if I do not need very often. Copy function. Network readiness. Automatic document feeder. All this has fulfilled the MX700 and I ordered him to a lot of thinking.
Now he is here in front of me and I've already checked it through its paces. I'm excited!
Anyone who is looking for an inexpensive all-in-one, I can highly recommend the Canon Pixma MX700.
What I find so great:
-All Works fine. Device, document feeder, print, scan, network use. The printer works processed with value and works very solid.
-In Text documents the typeface is impeccable. Photos are printed with great colors without problems borderless.
-You Can scan the network and these related settings are practical and really useful. You can also scan through about the document feeder and save the document as a PDF for example (as single pages or in a document with multiple pages) directly on the existing network computers. Without confirmation if you want. Everything can be very good to preset their own ideas. For example, in HP, I have often been annoyed about the unsuitability of the relevant configuration options.
- The included software is unobtrusive but very helpful. You can easily use all the functions with its own software.
- Four individual cartridges, which can be ordered for each under 10 Euro on the Internet.
The printer is clearly a beautiful piece of art that finally works the way I imagine it. The fax feature that I use a Fritz! Box, works very well.
Of course, you have to bring a little skill and patience to get a printer up and running. Many negative reviews of the printer in the Internet resulted in my opinion the fact that you yourself make mistakes and then report to the device. Attentive reading of the (admittedly somewhat confusing at first) manual is necessary, then it works. For example, the printer must be set up only via USB, even if you want to use it on the network. In other computers is of course no longer necessary.
Sure, the MX700 has not all. It is often written in the negative sense that he has no duplexing and no CD-Imprinted function. That's true, but precisely these features I do not need and have never looked for it. Who feels the same way, which is sure to be very happy with the MX700. Otherwise, the relatively new MX850 is certainly an even better choice (with more features) - but since it costs a lot more, I decided consciously against it. The MX310 will certainly be an even better choice for other users because it only costs about 80 euros. I have decided against it because it is not network-compatible and of the cartridges ago (expensive because of printhead, no single color) did not meet my expectations. For people who print less and want to spend less, but still he is sure a great choice because it is very similar to the functions of the MX700 (lower Scanausflösung but think that this is likely to be still perfectly adequate).
Somewhere I have read that the resolution of the printer / scanner would not be high enough (other models offer even more). I can only say that printing and scanning are perfect for me, and I have high expectations. It has also been described that the automatic document feeder for scanning after 20 (or more?) Pages is slower. I have not tested - but it does not interest me. Because such large orders I will have privately never or very rarely.
Conclusion: The machine I can only recommend. Finally all works and with such a great convenience features such as the automatic Dikumenteneinzug and scanning over the network (via the document feeder). As described above, I am really annoyed with HP. Had before the MX700 a multifunction device from HP (now returned) that Dür has the almost same price offered much less comfort. On top of that I was not satisfied with the function itself. The Network Scanning was complicated (you had to confirm the computer), the software was complicated and often little useful the pressure was sometimes wrong, the paper feed sometimes poorly functioning (corners on newly loaded paper, wrong fuel gauge). When MX700 far everything works wonderfully! Glad I bought the MX700.
