The adapter has shown me when switching to an SSD excellent services. I have a very narrow PC case with only two LW slots and wanted to use an SSD in parallel with the DVD burner and occasionally operate the old HDD outside the PC to this adapter. Then but I've decided to throw out the SATA DVD writer and SSD and HDD to be in the PC, as well as this works fine.
Since it is not so clearly emerged from the description, and the information may be useful: My SATA DVD burner runs without any problems on the adapter (of course with the included AC adapter) on Windows 7 and it can even be directly from DVD boot to as Windows on the SSD to reinstall!
