Packaging / First impression / processing:

When I lifted the massive thing out of the box, I noticed that nothing wobbled or made sure that I get the feeling that something is loose in it. It feel at all of a piece!

The device was capped around the Styrofoam not to touch directly with soft thin "cloths" at the top and bottom.

Deposited on the ground, I admired the noble subwoofer whose membrane is covered by a stable grid. The grid can be easily removed and is of two pieces of felt on each side gently gently inserted into the edges without scratching or clamp.

The aluminum membrane is very high and shines as if it would be a massive silver plate. Like it a lot!

Among the avatars is a case, which perfectly describes the back and spared me the exact explanation of the appearance. Really great!

Because the Canton should be recorded 15-20 hours, I notice here that I am talking from the very beginning!

Now I feel almost completely as in a movie theater! The subwoofer puts a decent performance piece on top of my previous and brings felt twice as much pressure with half the volume setting. (Logically at 130 watts RMS difference)

The basses are extremely precise and clear, above all, but also strong and warm. At 95% volume, scratch and overdriven NOTHING! The sound was clear and simple was just pure pressure and momentum.
In the next room were shaking the display and the glasses, and my roommate complained directly why a disco was suddenly opened at 17 o'clock in my room. ;)
Mind you at about 42% volume and 95% Windows level subwoofer volume. Upwardly is still air, but this I will exploit probably not as fast and sure.

The transition region of 25 - 200Hz is beneficial and allows the sound to the subwoofer with those of speakers merge!

CONCLUSION:

Approximately 230 are not a little, especially not for consumer electronics. However, I'm out of this thinking. I have noticed increased significantly in recent years, how bad are cheap / affordable equipment, if claims are there.

Here you get a subwoofer, which could be much more expensive! The quality is extremely good and hard to beat. The same goes for the sound and the power of this, but not very big, box.

I second the enthusiastic 5 star people here and recommend the Canton AS 85.2 SC fully! There is nothing to complain about, either on the processing of the case, the technique of sound or features (connections).
