Now for Acer: After careful consideration and a number of comparisons of various small notebooks, I finally arrived at the new Acer 1825. The statements about the battery life I wanted only not believe in past experience with laptop batteries and their maturities. But the vote actually! While the small companies-HP already in the course of a 2-hour meeting out of breath, and "a mobility of more than 30 minutes is not possible at my desktop replacement with 18.4, so can this little Acer schichtweg call marathoners . Have even under heavy Auslasung with simultaneous use power-requiring, external USB devices (DVD Writer, ext. HDD) maturities not achieved 6 hours! If the notebook lack my entries times in the darkened power-saving mode, it expects me even battery times more than the 10-hour limit from.
As usual nowadays, the notebook is of course supplied with a software package that first requires a basic cleaning of the unneeded components.
With WIN7-64-bit with 4GB of RAM you have here a fast notebook with handy dimensions.
Also memory-intensive applications, such as photo editing is conducted speedily and without any restrictions.
The heat development is pleasingly low.
The display is clear and has a good color representation.
The rotating mechanism of the display looks stable.
The keyboard has a good pressure point and can be operated very well.
Touchpad with scroll function is also good to use.
The sound is not great, but the size of fine.
The wireless reception is excellent. I even still receive by 2 poured ceiling on the first floor a signal of my Fritz box (basement) with 40%, where so far no other notebook nor anything at "noticed".
Only negatives are the lack of resolution and picture quality of the webcam (VGA), and the lack of a stylus for capacitive screen, which would be particularly important for the optical character recognition because it is hardly possible with finger touch.
Acer has such a pin not at times in accessories.
The display is easy to operate but also with gross motor skills and with little dexterity ;-)
But for cleaning intense because of Dia sufficient remain fingerprints on the glossy display.
This notebook, I can really recommend it. Importantly however, to note that
-> You definitely need an external drive (already for the creation of 3 BackUp DVD)
-> Is the high-gloss display and of course only a very limited usable outdoors
-> Is the capacitive screen only with your fingers or a special stylus to operate
-> A special stylus pen not included, and even with ACER not available
(The Acer 1820 has a resistant namely display and a normal stylus here)
-> The glossy notebook lid and the display are sensitive for fingerprints
But since I do not need the WebCam and no use handwriting recognition, I am fully satisfied and would buy me this notebook immediately with netbook dimensions. Buy recommendation!
