I've only ordered to play a bit with the Android device at the ridiculous price really. I myself am iOS software developers and have even current Apple hardware. That the tablet mentioned here can not compete with the iPad was already clear from the outset. Clean Priced I get for the iPad-Price 8 of these devices at the same price ...
As ego had unpacked and turned on, I was shocked first time of the battery life. However, one can increase the extreme, where you turn off some services, which in my opinion in a tablet without Bluetooth and SIM card simply no sense machen.Wer needs a Bluetooth stack (software for controlling Bluetooth devices, as well as for coupling) and who needs a data roaming service when no SIM card is installed ?! So away with the Services.
So far I'm really positively surprised by the tablet, because I'm range addressed with no expectations.
The design looks like puking, and sometimes I feel like I have a China-tablet in his hand. Oh wait - that's really so! :)
Software Technically the device is recorded quite mau, what I as a developer really like that. Then you need not come down as much. What's down flown directly: the Flash Player. Ugh ... The display is OK for the price, sometimes I have the feeling that the picture would somehow squeezed in height. But you get used to it quickly. The display itself has a really lousy viewing angles, so you have to hold the tablet vertically pretty to the eye. Advantage for the train driver: thanks to the lousy displays can not look into the Tablet neighbor. Everything has its pros and cons. Depends depends on what you want.
Small disadvantage: the display is next to xfachen plastic sheets still a protector attached. When I wanted to settle, is beyond me the damn DISPLAY cracked. So complained and the new is coming tomorrow. If my out of warranty (or by personal negligence) happens, then there replacement displays for 13 (!) Euros in the bay.
In short: who does what for technical (engineering) games needs, this is the place. Can do much to break nothing. One can rausholen some of the hardware, if you know what you're doing. Rooting had also worked, CyanogenMod comes off tomorrow.
I finds toll. Who is looking for what works: please go on - there's nothing to see :)
For people who want to have Android in its latest version, which is the Google Nexus 7 to heart. Since you have everything you want: clever design, higher quality materials (which are still built of Chinese children's hands) and a decent support for software.
