Customer Review

Adel Tawil is best known as the male half of the hugely successful pop duo I and I known, but during the creative break the band he recorded a solo album. This song has been created which can in his deluxe version with rich 20 tracks, including 2 remixes Attending the simple version still contains 14 tracks. Pretty extensive, especially for a debut album as an independent artist. But it is well known, not on the ground but to the class, and also here Tawil is convincing.

With Always there starts the album, here Mutmach song has emerged that underscores Tawil sense of intense feelings. During the verses the sense of abandonment, the lonely and hopeless is mediated, it says in the chorus, I'll always be there, Tawil offers a strong shoulder.

If you love is an energetic, emphatic beat song which is not only fast in his ear, but also in the legs. Ideally suited for Mitgrooven, where the text goes rather in emotive banks here. Especially in the chorus comes here Tawil soft, powerful voice to best advantage.

Songs is not only the title of the album, but has been released as a first single. The text here is a very special one: it consists largely of well-known lines from other titles, while in the second stanza Tawil career to date is reflected. The more often you hear the song, the more one discovers allusions, and also musically a catchy title was delivered.

Wines fits well with the mood of the album, combines the smooth and quite danceable instrumentation with soulful lyrics. A very cool song with strong expression, with also an emotional text.

Underwater is a very interesting electric ballad and clearly stands out. While the text takes up some criteria in the diving area, Tawil's voice sounds slightly distorted on a gentle melody that gets the typical sounds of sonar. Also, the synth-beat goes well very worth listening to in this concept.

House of Cards is there already something classic, but no less emotional. As a hook, a melodic piano runs through the entire song, repeat a few melodies here and provide space for a variety of other instruments, small gadgets and a small choir sequence while Tawil's voice sounds over everything, standing with its clear sound in the foreground.

Ash flight is a clear break in the album, here come hard rap sound to light, not least because Tawil musical guests Sido and Prinz Pi. Some fans of I and I are likely to be a bit confused here, the thumping beat, however kominiert with gentle brass and Tawil powerful vocals in the chorus is very well done.

Also home not only sings Tawil, but will performs with Matisyahu. This has in the verses a very rhythmic chant (in English). The incisive guitar line and the only permeable, later powerful chorus forms thus a dynamic song. Come, we bring the world to shine it says, a call to tolerance, love and peaceful coexistence.

Pacemaker is again in danceable song with a typical texts Tawil, where the dark side of everyday life are treated, as well as a positive outlook is the same offered. Especially the refrain goes quickly into the ear, the catchy, flush rhymes ensure that you can sing along quickly.

Graffiti Love is despite the title a largely German song, only the title bar is English and is sung by none other than Humpe Humpe. Their gentle and somewhat spherical acting voices put a certain something to this song, which acts quite hard and beat emphasized, creating interesting contrasts.

Built on sand builds on Tawil Chanting, is seconds to hear the bridge alone, to the rhythmic and flowing accompaniment resumes. Schrebbelige electric guitars and some brass instruments make for an exciting and varied history of the song. For me one of the highlights of the album.

Snow is an almost classic to be named pop ballad and fully tailored to the delicate voice of the singer. Losing a loved one is the subject and is circumscribed very soulful, gets under your skin and makes especially at the end, where the song rises again when it comes to intensity of nightmares.

Darkness is a duet that is likely to be for a very special Adel Tawil he sings it with his wife Jasmine, the quiet places in the background to aristocracy voice and support with its very bright and high sound. Again a symbiosis of classical instruments and modern, synthetic sounds is offered.

New Year is strongly reminiscent of various songs by I and I, a powerful chorus with a feel-good text, combined with a liquid and harmonious musical accompaniment. A little thoughtful, but also looking forward and very positive.

With Paradise begin the bonus songs on the album, also here a round and pretty song was created, which sounds both familiar and some new, interesting elements installs. The hope for a better world, a simple and fulfilling life shines here from every line, and again is Tawil voice linchpin of the song. Nice, but nothing extraordinary.

Missin me in terms of versatility not first front with it, but can provide a very energetic chorus, almost a cry for attention, while the verses scores with Chanting, especially the second part of the second stanza with his increased pace here is very catchy.

Hangover the sea stands out and is again clearly a little experiment. A casual, groovy chorus, electronic monitoring and distorted voice in the verses also make the song a little gem, exceptional and very well done.

Never No one is an acoustic guitar driven song, and like some other songs in the verses quiet while the chorus screwed up, still put some other instruments, Tawil's voice is powerful and higher, the volume is turned up. An unexcited and pleasant song.

In addition, even as remixes of wines and house of cards to hear that once again emphasize different facets of the song, while acting more like other versions of the songs. Here a lot of work has been taken to merge the instruments and to make the songs sound very different again.

The concept of I and I was taken here and basically extended with diverse and successful elements, so that at the same time familiar-looking as well as new and fresh songs are included. In some places I would have liked more variability, but some songs stand out then but with a different approach forth and provide enough variety. The focus is always on the emotional lyrics and especially to Adel Tawil powerful and clear voice. A round and polished album with many strong songs, ballads and danceable songs alternate. This album will continue the success story of the singer and rightly so.
