The peanuts are all the rage at the tits, but also spotted woodpeckers are pleased to accept. I fill in a Gardman A01232 Feeder for peanuts, whose stitches are slightly too narrow for the full and half nuts, the birds must therefore quite some work to elicit nut fragments. This significantly reduces the consumption, or more precisely, the loss (though the package will be empty until spring :-). So arg difficult this seems to be back not because of time and plenty of rain, the nuts soft enough; the column is empty every few days. I had this nut sacks to hang, but they are very fast empty, because the birds get out whole nuts and fly away with it; that are then eaten whole I do not think so.
The Dehner pack contains consistently full and half nuts, there is little debris, insofar as they are prima suitable for my purpose. Good quality at a reasonable price. My tip: order the above, very affordable Feeder equal.
