I have stayed here the direct predecessor of DT01ACA300 in use, namely the DT01ABA300. Both Toshiba, both 3 TiB (decimal terabytes) in size, and if I remember correctly is the price unfortunately barely fallen during the elapsed year. Even after one year the 3TB versions offer the best price-performance ratio.

The "old" had 5700 rpm, the "What's New" on the other hand 7200. She is here with me in a USB-SATA adapter (IcyBox IB-116 docking station) on the table, so I was worried if they do not too loud would be. Therefore h

I've had times hard drives running at 7200 rpm, which made a noise like a buzz saw. But that is absolutely not an issue at the DT01ACA300. The truly whisper-quiet. The buzz is hardly noticeable, although, as I said, "naked" is directly (without housing) next to me on the table.

Very enjoyable!

According to the manufacturer the way, are 27 dB (A) in idle and 28 dB (A) when writing-reading.
