We have the Side by side now for 3 1/2 weeks. Considering that it was advertised with 39 db (A), it is extremely loud! Beistpielsweise 40 will be described as db noise a quiet library, 50 db as a quiet corner in the living room. We feel the refrigerator was extremely loud, at least louder than was our 25 year old built-in refrigerator, especially since that was only heard when the compressor was running. The refrigerator hums, roars yes, literally. The refrigerator was purchased for an open kitchen, so it should run as quietly as possible. After repeated complaints LG took but then on Konkat. We had complained repeatedly about the service hotline and we were contacted by the in-house service verspochen within 3 business days. After the third time, this period has been significantly exceeded, we have massively turned to retailers twice and called for the immediate rescission at the 2nd time. He then turned on several times. Then after all the volume was from LG service measured it and told that the noise within the tolerance range (42 dB on average), and nothing is done. Statement of the technician: LG is only on average 46 db active (which is almost 20% deviation from the advertisement!). My-unfortunately not calibrated - noise meter indicates partially 58dB and more. Apparently, the refrigerator is no longer advertised as extremely quiet. The value is only read in the datasheet. Luckily we printed everything and even the fat advertising stickers with the details. Too bad, but we are left with only the way to the lawyer and court expert. Thank God we are insured for legal expenses.
