As described by the seller, the stick under Windows 8.1 has installed the first time you connect itself and was ready for use. I bought the stick for a Lenovo U310 Ultrabook because its built-in Wi-Fi is very weak. Here brings this stick a huge improvement, especially in very weak networks. He is very reliable. However, this drive does not improve if the network problems are caused by too many, or overlapping WLANs as with me partially the case (up to 14 Wi-Fi networks from the neighborhood). In individual cases, the built-in laptop weak WLAN adapter here works slightly better than the WLAN stick. However, I had not yet tried to optimize the reception of the WLN sticks by pivoting the antenna. Overall I am very satisfied with this WLAN stick.
