If you have this problem with your TP-Link TL-WDN3200 well, here is the solution:
Although the Windows 8 driver update (via the Device Manager) announces the following: "The best driver for this device is already installed" and "The device is working properly" -
THAT'S NOT TRUE !!! It is a bug (= error) in the driver, and you need to renew it:
1.) Go to: [...]
2.) Download here the top driver (for Windows 8) on your desktop.
3.) Unpack right-click on the driver file and click on "Everything extract"
4.) Navigate to the cursor (= cursor) on the desktop to the far right and all the way down
5.) Once the Charm Bar unfolded, scroll up and click on "Settings"
6) Now click on "Control Panel" and then on "Device Manager"
7.) There on "Network Adapters", then "Update Driver Software" Right click on the TP-Link AND
8) Click "Browse my computer for driver software" and make left there check "Include subfolders"
9.) Now click on "Browse", scroll all the way down, mark the TP-Link folder, and then click "OK"
10. Now click "Next" and wait until Windows finds the driver and let you install) him
Finally, a short restart and finished :-)
Now everything should work. And the rest is already said by the other reviewers.
My Conclusion: 5 stars.
PS: Here's a little tip for all Windows 8 USER,
Who often in the control panel to "do" HAVE:
- On the Explorer "Computer" (if not visible: on the left side all the way down to scroll)
- Right-click on "Control Panel" (the blue square icon at the top, center)
- Click on "to the toolbar for quick access to add"
- Ready :-)
Now you get from any folder window with 1 click in the "Control Panel"
(The small blue square icon at the top, left, right above the word "Start")
