If it should be the drivers, I will edit the review accordingly.

Update:
So, it looks like you can actually bring with bass boost switch the sound back to a reasonable level (or the Windows 8.1 drivers muck because what). Now have frequency at 100 Hz and the gain set to 18dB, so the whole thing sounds again much more pleasant. However, the maximum volume is limited by (but it is enough for listening to music and watching videos). The settings can be found here:
Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar
Playback device
Features of 3-Generic Audio USB Device
Extensions
Activate Bass Boost and select in settings, which you like the most
I hope I was able to help a few people. Give now 3 star.
Update 2:
I would like to commend in any case ever to find the support, independent of the turns to the buyer and tried a sensible problem-solving, the answers came quickly and with accurate information. I will now be supplied with a replacement card and I hope that I will have no problems with.
Update 3:
I completely forgot that I wanted to write an update!
I have Windows reinstalled 8.1 (hard disk format) and suddenly everything works without bass boost or other modifications. As expected, it was up to the drivers of Windows 8. So if the same sound problems had (completely tax-Sound), which was to try to get the drivers to think about or to reinstall. Thanks to CLS for the great support!
