I wanted a pocket camera with excellent image quality, which must be necessarily snapshot compatible (out of the pant> anschalten-> draufhalten-> knipsen-> Great Picture), but also must allow manual settings (for difficult lighting situations or object).
- The most important criterion for me: the picture quality
- That for me the second-most important criterion: (is of course !, pocket I realize that point 1 so that only relatively) the size
- Can be used in low light conditions (in museums, churches, mosques, etc. One must not flash often)
- Wide and Tele is also a lot now and then very useful
- Quick switch
- Quick trigger time
- Fast continuous shooting
- Possible with optical viewfinder
- The longest running time
- Video I do not really need
Image Quality:
From the picture quality I'm at least surprised. The colors are realistic (sometimes exaggerates the EXR mode, however, also in the sharpness / contrast) and the images even at telephoto out of hand and without sun razor sharp. In high ISO areas (even in 1600) the image for a camera this size is phenomenal. (I have no pictures of the same situation) Subjective even better than the Canon 40D. This allows very comfortable shooting in dark rooms without a tripod with an acceptable result. In extreme contrast (sun, shadows on a screen) but does not help the more ingenious EXR mode, but the camera has the ability to intervene manually (then of course no snapshot which needs depending on photographic skill some time). The EXR mode is awesome for the snapshot snapping. (Almost) all the pictures are sharp. The mode recognizes the impressive subject to be photographed. Even with very difficult contrast conditions the images are to let's say 80% succeeded, even if the camera then falls back to 5 megapixels. Other cameras have less Detailschäfe with 12 megapixels. The last 20% of the maximum light / shade dynamics of this camera (the akzeptablerweise not come up to the 40D) can tease about manual settings. So high I can EXR mode praise, after some time and experience with the operation of the camera I use this rather rare, since one ISO can not limit here. So if I automatically take pictures, then more with the programs P or car. But prefer the manual mode.
Size:
Sensational compact for Zomm 27-270mm. Fits very well in your jeans pocket. The image quality with this push at this size was the main reason for purchasing the Fuji for me.
Zoom:
Wide and 10x zoom on this camera Size - top. The Zomm can be metered easily and quickly reached (enough) to Maxtele or wide angle. At full telephoto, the image stabilizer helps very effective in snapping out of his hand. I had rarely blurred images. The not blurred were very detailed and sharp. At full telephoto, however, be seen in the shadow edges. In wide-angle is at the edge of a fisheye effect perceptible.
On Time:
Contrary to the opinions of the previous speakers, I find the switch totally unacceptable. Until the first image took almost 10 seconds. This I missed some snapshot scenes. As a solution, I have left it turned on in the picture viewing mode. The course uses energy, but I have been doing a second battery. In addition, you can not retract the lens. Man pushing frame playback and then it retracts after about 10s.
Trip time:
Very fast and sharp images. So the autofocus seems to work well. One can virtually simulate a continuous shooting. The Canon SX200 is not faster in burst mode :-)
Continuous shooting:
At maximum resolution only 3 shots in succession are possible, otherwise 12. However, a quite useful feature is installed. You can decide whether (starting at releasing the button) you want to have a continuous shooting the first 3/12 (start with button) or the last 3/12 images. But I'm not coped with the continuous shooting mode so right - either the motive was stopped already in the picture or I had started too early or too late.
Display:
The display is excellent and provides the recording is about right. In bright sunlight it can not conjure up also. The optical viewfinder is simply missing. But unfortunately, he does with almost all cameras of this size. In EXR Mode, the camera automatically switches from the power saving mode to max. Display brightness. On the one hand well, but then you are to keep constantly on the cumbersome switching back, the battery life maximum. Although I do not consider the power consumption of this camera to be too high, I was glad to have a spare battery with you.
Operation:
The operation is relatively intuitive for me and based on the on-screen help information easy to understand. Unfortunately and inexplicably some changes are not about the speed-dial button to reach f. The fact that the EXR mode, no ISO limit may indicate I mentioned in picture quality. What is absolutely annoying, that the time trigger has to be re-adjusted after each triggering across multiple keystrokes. Also that in shrill sunlight the power saving mode has jumped in the display illumination mode in EXR mode, which also must be switched back again cumbersome.
Overall I am very satisfied with the Fuji 70 and can absolutely recommend. The negative points I can live with, because all FOR ME essentially eligible competitor compared in any FOR ME point are worse. But that must decide for themselves every man for himself.
