Acronis True Image 11 provided with from a product which could only be described as a "bow-Festival" with complete justification. Unfortunately, this has been with the 2009 - driven version to the extreme. The Linux support is still incomplete. Contrary to the erroneous claim of the manufacturer, ext3 would support, this is completely wrong! All new Linux distributions like Fedora Core from 9, Mandriva 2008.1 and from Ubuntu from 8.10 can not be more secure due to the changed ext3 - formats. Acronis does not work here with the standards - so it is for Linux - User absolutely useless! Furthermore, not to ext3 - be secured formatted partitions. Under Vista, it will not work if common antivirus software like Kaspersky or Trend Micro are installed. With more than 3 GB of physical RAM it crashes repeatedly ... and and and ... The error list is endless. With Acronis usual appeasement-mail form ... Man working on it (do the vain since version 10!) The rescue disk comes with about 70% of current notebooks and their hard drives and external storage, especially. USB - HDs not clear as the destination drive for an image.
In short: HANDS OFF! Faulty and unfinished product.
