Hi,
since a few days I have been an enthusiastic owner of Denon AH D2000 and would like to briefly write down my impressions. In addition, I would like to take this opportunity sincerely to thank you for all those users who have advised me and makes my purchase choice.
Then to my experience:
Quality:
From the headband to the jack, the Denon D2000 on a consistently good quality. Like many others gives me the one-point swivel the earpieces a little discomfort. She does not make too robust impression and you should therefore always make sure to be gentle with the KH.
The cable is also very high, but has a rather unusual high cable thickness and a slight stiffness - due to the polymer coating - on. I do not mind this point absolute, the cable makes a stable impression and is less prone to distortions.
Comfort:
Absolutely perfect. The KH is stable on the head, but without pressing or to be uncomfortable otherwise. The ear pads are also very convenient, the "cut" fits like cast on my ear.
The only complaint is that at warmer ambient temperatures can begin ears ever to sweat a little. However, this criticism affects only slightly and is therefore almost negligible.
Sound:
First of all I would like to briefly say a few words to the closed type. Namely, the soundproofing is not quite as strong as we know it might from other closed headphones. At medium volume penetrates accordingly but neat sound to the outside, which is easily audible. In direct comparison to open KHS still a big difference in this respect is recorded.
The KH up to its reputation in every way. The bass is really thrilling and unique in its sound character. He not only plays very deep, but also acts very punchy and is vigorously works. Depending on the song, he can really be "bleak". I'm really excited about this great bass.
Contrary to some other reviews, I would by no means be described as dominant the bass. He is certainly striking, but blends seamlessly and harmoniously into the overall picture, so that it acts theatrically or unnatural in any way at any time. This property is not limited only to the amount of bass, but applies to the entire spectrum of civil engineering over Central through to treble. Also voices are reproduced with such impressive authenticity that one thinks that they could have come directly from a person next to you.
The spaciousness of the Denon D2000 is amazing. However, after I read about the fascinating space, which was certified this KH, I must admit that I would have expected a little more because of my high expectations. Nevertheless, it manages the D2000 to precisely set individual sound sources in the room, which can be excellent places. To claim that one has the impression of being in the midst of the action, however, I consider exaggerated. I think that in some cases an "insufficient" resolution limits the space.
Conclusion:
The Denon D2000 is really an excellent headset that brings a permanent fun listening. You can sit back in his chair, completely switch off and can be hourly sprinkle of this wonderful sound. Furthermore, the KH is suitable for almost all music genres and many applications, but I think he's some oversized. Operation without KHV prepares the KH also no problem (quite the opposite setting to HD 595, the miserably weakened by my Creative X-Fi and particularly at medium to low volume any dynamism and vibrancy lost).
In this respect, I can recommend the D2000 highly. I have for now a KH found, with whom I will surely hear some passionate years.
