So far I have always read reviews and was only ever very grateful for helpful remarks. After I did my personal, very surprising experience in recent days of intensive research to Boombox, Sound Link and Jambox, the decision grew to also want to group includes those who want to influence the difficult decisions. Therefore now here is my first review ;-) A brief history of how it came to this evaluation now and what my "qualifications" is: I am Hobby bassist and mix from two cover bands. So have probably a bit "musical ear" :-) We are also all-season campers and hear in the camp like (sometimes noisy; -) ...) music. For this purpose we used to date a Logitech Dock for iPhone and iPod. But after the family has switched to Android, had to be something new. Top with Bluetooth ;-) My research led me to the Boombox, Jambox or SoundLink II. In Saturn I've then Boombox and SoundLink belongs (on a Vorführstand) with its own music. Both sound really "cool". But it is clear that we are not talking about Hifi, but Bluetooth speakers for "in between". In Saturn I struggled myself, but then finally decided on the boombox. They sounded "full". However, it was clear that Saturn showrooms with extensive noise around it are not suitable for an objective assessment. Arriving home, the Boombox was immediately proudly ... and disappointment is spreading. The dominant heights to pushy. Especially when things should be loud. We have listened to the pop music of the kids and then the Tote Hosen and Max Mutzke. Late in the evening made me Sebastian Hämer on the couch then can reconcile a little. Hm, what next? For the price I do not want to ask me every time whether the SoundLink would not have been better. So to Saturn and the SoundLink also bought the next day ;-) ... and here we go! Home is the ultimate comparison. After both devices have smoothly connected to the (last remaining) iPhone, only times the SoundLink ... great sound ... satisfaction is spreading. Then the boombox ... not bad ... we do what louder ... Boombox: The problem with the ups is back ... direct switch to the SoundLink ... SHOCK! That sounds just like a better portable radio ... at this point I soon a little off. As "engineer" of two bands I have prudently me to simulate the planned application environment, namely "Outside" (for campers: -) ...). For "Inside" the device of our choice is not intended. So off to the garden. We then made several attempts. Whenever the SoundLink "alone" played no matter what Mucke and how loud what the OK. And when did a similar piece from the boombox, which was also out OK. No intrusive heights more. Instead, super sound. But was changed in the play between Boombox and sound link that Bose SoundLink was an incredible disappointment. It sounded like a can, he would like to but can not. The kids we both devices demonstrated and not reveal what they've heard each. Again, clearly, the "better, warmer, holistic" sound provides the Boombox. Thus I come to the conclusion :-) 1. DO NOT FORGET! Sound is always individual! Sound is always dependent on the location. 2. Outside and even if it should be sometimes loud, and not Hifi, then wins clearly the boombox!
