After my good experiences with the small black boxes I wanted to buy myself a SD1 ... and have this plan now abandoned. The first camera (not bought here on Amazon) had a slight but noticeable front focus together with the 18-200. I got him on the camera's internal fine-tuning is not 100% under control and have returned the set.
A few days ago then the second attempt: I am ordering a SD1 together 18-200er here at Amazon, the (very nice for the rest, very well made and very well to summary) unit trying out and experiencing an autofocus, the five meters around three meters next (or front of it) lies. Even pictures with Aperture 8 at 18 mm to infinity got the AF not sharp. So with a heavy heart (but already with anger inside) back to the part.
If someone from Sigma reads here: You are building a quality, well-to-use camera with an exceptional sensor mE delivers almost medium format quality, and then such a Sch ... What is this? What food are no quality controls?
Probably with a few now Sigma-fans (Hi, I'm after all still one of you, so do not be too hard on me) tell that I just very, very unlikely had bad luck ... but that I twice a set get that uniquely (This requires no measuring instruments) is faulty, that's just annoying. That's it then with the SD1 - pity.
