As Business Traveler I'm much by plane go. The bag goes through without discussion as hand luggage. The dimensions are such that there are no more on the switch or worse at the gate discussion. Since the small laptop bag may travel separately, my bag goes well for a weekly trip (7 days). The bag looks small, it is small. 35 liters are just 35 liters, and you can handle it or not. A Jacket because I would not necessarily squeeze in, I wear always on man. With a little thought I really rich, the 35 liters but full and you then enjoys the freedom of "Only hand luggage travelers" ... The quality is very good. Interestingly, a side pocket is designed so that you can put it back shoes, then hang in the main compartment. I use this expandable compartment, however, for the laundry and not have to pay extra to accommodate a dirty laundry bag in main compartment.
