The helicopter was delivered quickly and was assembled, and contrary to the picture frame and tail boom are made from blue anodized aluminum, as on the homepage to see Jamara.

However, I wanted the helicopter anyway completely disassemble and rebuild, first, to learn what, and secondly because the forums and other reviews of rework languages ​​to make the helicopter safely and cleanly airworthy.

Since the ARF (Almost Ready to Fly) version no gyro and no receivers are doing, the former Gyro and a range of 6-channel receiver of my upgraded Blade 450 were used, which interacts perfectly with the Jamara components.

When disassembling the helicopters, I realized that some screws loose, others to determine, some (but not all) connections secured screw-in metal with Loctite, but were already about turned a handful of screws with the Allen key ... A bolt from Therefore motor carrier was resolved not at all, I immediately replaced, because it despite good tool could no longer be put on other screws.

When disassembling / rebuild, I noticed that only hint at important points ball bearings in the exploded view of the helicopter that are actually performed as "brass sleeve in brass bush"; also are numerous washers mapped, ie to make internal mixer and Kompensatorhebel smoothly, but they are missing the helicopter, and for good reason: Putting the few existing washers on the more important points one, touches such as the (from the outset rhombic warped) Paddelstange frame at the screw head from the mixer lever.

Overall, the mechanism does not look good, mainly because the whole Hebelei can be screwed from the swash plate to the blade holders only either with some play, or stiff; also a long Bohrspan I had yet to remove from the swash plate, which, incidentally, has a slight shock, as well as the main rotor shaft. But with a lot of feeling and patience - and, given the small price, a benevolent pressure-closed eye - you're gonna get the mechanics down reasonably tidy.

When desired "Zero Setup" and setting the blade traces I then failed because are installed as opposed to a model, the T-Rex 450, no adjustable pushrods from the mixer to the blade holders, but fixed plastic parts, which in this case a Bissel to are short; at 0 ° Collective Pitch and horizontal mixer arms the swash plate ends approximately 4 mm above the center position, and that leads to a reduced positive Collective Pitch at truncheons.

If the swash plate aligned centrally and the Zero pulled through Setup as usual from the bottom up, but stand at 0 ° pitch the mixer arms askew. So I did the setup from the top down, but because of the highly shifted wobble plate I had also the link rods of the TS-servos do so long for TS that the ball sockets hung only in the last 2 threads; that was me too unstable.

Right I was disappointed with the GRP rotor blades ... A sheet was bent down, twisted the other sheet in itself, and even though they were pretty well balanced and did not produce vibrations at a cautious spool up, the leaf traces were Float pitch about 1 cm apart (!); Therefore, and despite the -2 ° to + 8 ° Coll. Pitch (in flight phase 0) and a high head speed, not a real impetus came. : O \

- Linkage / twisted too short or partial non-adjustable bent for a Zero setup, the leaves and therefore too little buoyancy despite good values, then the Board had probably still right: "One should the leaves and the linkage with the same T Rex replace 450 parts ", and I have now made (CFRP sheets 15, linkage kit complete 5).

The T-Rex linkages were a few vital millimeters longer, also the linkage to the blade holders is because adjustable (though I had to cut the ball sockets to 1 mm here), and so closed the Zero setup right away (from bottom to top) ; the leaf tracks are exactly, and even with reduced head speed is the heli with neatly lift upwards. : O)

Now the bird hovers quite tame on the spot, but reacts quickly to cyclic commands and can therefore also be flown somewhat more agile; for CP-Heli Learn To Fly, fight hovering and flying round the E-Rix 450 quite suitable, but in my opinion not for beginners, technically clueless, or Work-shy.

Long story short: It should be fundamentally familiar with the helicopter mechanics, a certain craft engines and the finger dexterity have to check the helicopter exactly and if necessary rebuild, and not be afraid to substitute parts from the very beginning, when a "weird "happen.

The Jamara E-Rix 450 is with some reworking (three rainy afternoons) a very effective and well-compatible Heli, whose flight characteristics and potential fun I'll try on the large lawn as soon as it stops raining times ...

Brother's E-Rix 450, which had been also missed a few replacement parts, I have a few batteries long swiftly gekreiselt on the lawn - and I found it so relaxing to fly that I beside my Blade 450 have their own E-Rix wanted 450 as exercise and craft-Heli! ; O)
