... Leased to success. Right off the bat landed already on the number 1 on the US charts is their debut album really impressive. First impressions you could already get on the soundtrack to "Men in Black" with their song "La Dee Dah". The voice is clear and yet powerful, the production is clean, despite the (small) part comes already suspected, you could have done musically more of it, because, unfortunately, a few isolated songs still sound like the typical Soul-standard goods. Nevertheless, you have to assign the highest rating here, because such artists like Alicia Keys rarely see these days the light of the music world. The single "Fallin '" is and will remain one of the highlights of the album, "Girlfriend", with the same sample of Ol' Dirty Bastards "Brooklyn Zoo" and a nice-bass-heavy beat, "Mr. Man" and in the 70's stylized track "Rock Wit U" are Other recommended songs. Finally the album you will still convinced of their ability in terms of ballads ala "Butterflyz" and "Caged Bird". We are Alicia Keys determined soon in the same breath as Mary J. Blige may call and in the future certainly hear more from her.
