This awakening is a very good surprise. Very good reception FM and DAB (about 35 stations received (Switzerland)). The display is really good characters for less massive than the usual LCD and especially no problem of light! It automatically adjusts the brightness (adjustable in the menu), suddenly the day is comfortably read the display and when it's dark, the screen does well. So even with the alarm clock in front of you, no problem at night. My former Philips, although its brightness turned down, was a beacon in the room ... I finally ask the opaque plastic film on the screen to further reduce brightness. With this revival, it's a pleasure. The digital tuner is accurate and FM / AM really satisfying. The alarm volume is customizable, so if you fall asleep with the radio (and sleep mode), the next morning, the radio volume will be the set and not one used the day before. No bursts into perspective. And the minimum sound level is almost inaudible, everyone can find the volume that suits him to wake gently. It is quite compact and its transformer makes no noise.
His only negative that justifies 4 out of 5 stars, is the lack of a backup battery. So in case of failure, your alarm settings are in peril. Too bad, because without it, it would have touched perfection for me.
