The installation / replacement turned out without any problems. The size is approximately equal to a conventional bulb.
The brightness is subjective comparable to the previously mounted conventional 40 Watt lightbulb. The light color corresponds as its predecessor and in harmony with the addition at the sink mounted halogen spotlights. Color gamut and color temperature are indistinguishable for me in said around a light bulb.
However, what resonates in other reviews is the fact that hardly any light emission takes place in the direction of the light bulb socket. After the bulb is screwed horizontally into the existing lamp, this results in a clearly one-sided emphasis light emission, clearly visible on the frosted glass cover of the lamp. I have attached hereto a photograph on which this circumstance will hopefully be seen. Depending on the lamp or shape of the room could interfere with visibility to this well. The radiation in the opposite direction is very nice and even. Under the present conditions in our room with a very small footprint and thereby relative ceiling height should I put the head back in order to register this fact at all. The lamp remains and I am very happy with it. Depending on the lamp or installation this would be different.
About the power saving potential does not have to talk to. At current prices starting at about 10, the acquisition will probably pay for itself, the promised life should be achieved.
After my experience to date with LEDs, it seems particularly important to pay attention next to the color temperature to the color rendering index. This should be at least 80, with what Phillips stated this LED also promises and holds obviously. Manufactured by companies that do not report this, you should be in my opinion the finger. And in the future I will pay more attention on the light cone. When in doubt, it has proven to be helpful to first obtain a single lamps to try and try in the given conditions.
