Personally I love this "carpet"! After unpacking I was surprised, skeptical, and even a little disappointed: a piece of thin plastic and rigid, which reminded me of some placemats: o) At installation it is magic ... it sticks to the office and it's very flat. In use, it's just perfect, stack size is just right for a standard space, mouse (a Roccat Tyon) slides alone while remaining accurate. I am hard mouse pad (to the point of being passed by me for years), I finally found a texture that I can touch without getting nervous (with two little fingers beyond the mouse and rub). Unfortunately, after a week the rug has tended to take off and that's when I had a bad surprise: small sticky pads took with them the coating (paint) to my old office. Too bad for him, but I really love this rug I have reattached using double-sided. It remains to see what comes of it with time.
Apart from this concern for bonding, I just regret that there is more choice at waist level: more carpets might have been preferable to me.
