Perfect upgrade for my sprightly MacPro: superior speed on USB3 and SATA, bootable system partition (with a slight delay during the boot process); the only drawback is that energy-hungry devices USB3 a gepowerten USB3 hub do not work (such as USB3 disks), I have to connect directly. Otherwise without any problems in the operation (running under Mavericks and Yosemite without additional drivers).
