The batteries were protected by pull tabs before unloading indeed, but with me still was a nearly empty.
This was reflected by low range of about 20m.
The batteries are individually relatively expensive, the following batteries are required:
For Loc8tor Light: 1x CR2032 (I bought: 5 x 2032 Duracell CR2032 DL2032 3V lithium coin cell batteries)
For the day: each day 2x V389 (SR54 silver oxide) (I bought: Varta watch battery V389 in 10-pack)

Let go down the grass, then I did my search. Although I was well away 80m, the Loc8tor is equal chipped.
As you can well recognize the signal strength, the direction, the search was over quickly, and a complete success.
Although me the Loc8tor has just cost so much as the Quadrocopter, but when I saving on only a loss of the Quadrocopter, it has
have been worth it.
